A full house was in attendance at the local Legion for a presentation on the “Cloverdale West Village” made by Jaret Lang of the Surrey City Development Corporation “SCDC” on the property that formerly housed the Cloverdale Plaza Mall. To make a long story very short, new technology used on the dry cleaner contamination of the site is working! Exact dates cannot be made on when you’ll see shovels in the ground but TownLine Housing Solutions is preparing to build in 2016 on the corner of the By-pass (175 St.) + 57 Ave. SCDC also announced that Mosaic Homes is looking to put in 3 storey townhomes on the north end of the property pending the achievement of a lower level of contamination. SCDC is now working on reinforcing existing temporary fence panels that are struggling with the latest rounds of wind storms. SCDC recently worked with the Cloverdale BIA and Cloverdale Chamber to come up with some images of Cloverdale along with some green screening that would make the property look more attractive.
