Local businesses, the Legion, the Surrey Museum and the Cloverdale BIA are working together to bring more Halloween activities to the Town Centre. One of the longest running Halloween events is Pumpkin Power at the Surrey Museum which was paired with a large scale costume parade that saw at its peak over 1,200 children trick or treat through the Cloverdale business area. The Museum has a costume contest at 12pm & 1:30pm, along with a puppet show, Jack O’Lanterns to decorate, crafts and face painting plus a Spooky Scavenger Hunt. The all ages event is free and will be on Sat. Oct. 29th from 11:30am – 2pm located at 17710 56A Ave. For info contact: (604) 592-6956.

Just a couple of blocks away, the Cloverdale Legion is holding their 2nd Annual Halloween Haunted House & Party from 1pm – 3pm at 17567 57 Ave. The Legion has a variety of old school Halloween games like bobbing for apples and other games with prizes to get you into the spirit. A number of local merchants help the Legion out with Trick or Treat stations. Plus there are hot dogs and drinks to wash all of the sweets down. Plus the Legion gets decorated and will be a great place to get your photo taken!

Meanwhile a block away from the Legion is the new Bone Yard Haunted House at the Brick Yard Station that will be open from 12:30pm – 3:30pm. The Haunted House was created by the butcher of Clancy’s Meat; Derek has created a young kid friendly spooky space that you probably want to take your brave mom with to experience. The merchants at the mall will be offering candies for the Trick or Treaters who visit along with a stamp for your entry form to qualify for a draw on a $500 Halloween themed Gift Basket. There will also be colouring contests at CIBC and Envision Financial along with crafts.

If you pace yourself, Halloween Trick or Treaters can visit all three locations to gather a major amount of candies, some fun photos and a little bit of exercise if you walk to each Halloween activity centre. The merchants and organizations of the Cloverdale business area want everyone to have a fun and safe time!
